One of Summit County's largest ski-and-snowboard resorts, Copper Mountain is also the perfect summer-vacation destination as well as a year-round residence for many.  The U.S. Forest Service calls the 2,450 acres of naturally separated terrain “the most nearly perfect ski mountain in North America.”  Located just before Breckenridge real estate, many find resort hopping easy on ski shuttles.

Steep terrain to the east, gentle slopes to the west, intermediate terrain through the middle and some of the best bowl skiing in the state tell us why.  The growing community works hand in glove with the 2,600 residents of the Town of Frisco to offer stable community life as well as vacation adventure.  Prime Summit County real estate at Copper Mountain includes exquisite single-family home sites and duplex sites at Lewis Ranch for the dream mountain home with privacy and prestige midst alpine meadows, wetlands and the backcountry.

Second-home buyers and active retirees are sure to love properties and condos for sale at Copper Mountain as well as Frisco homes for sale.  Copper Mountain ski-in/ski-out choices abound with condominiums and townhouses at Center Village such as Copper One, Passage Point, Summit House, Taylor’s Crossing, The Mill Club, Tucker Mountain Lodge, Village Square and West Lake Lodge along with Copper Springs Lodge and The Greens at East Village.  Intermediate and advanced enthusiasts ride Copper Station and the Super Bee, the high-speed, six-person lift at The East Village to world-renowned trails.  The western side of the resort—the Union Creek base area and The Schoolhouse—is the perfect environment for beginners and families.  Union Creek offers Telemark Lodge, The Cirque and Union Creek Townhomes.

The Village at Copper features lodging, shops, restaurants and entertainment options.  West Lake Market boasts boardwalk shopping and dining.  Plenty of wonderful restaurants and clubs also line Main Street and the Marina in Frisco.

The buffet of activities extends too far to mention here, but here are a few more ideas:

  • The Copper Mountain Tubing Zone is a favorite for "kids" of all ages and is serviced by "The Stinger" lift.
  • West Lake Market offers ice-skating, broomball and curling, with a staging area to allow guests to comfortably put on and take off their skates and heated-seating fire pit for roasting marshmallows.
  • Horse-drawn sleigh rides take visitors through the scenic White River National Forest.
  • Dining in the Woods offers a gourmet meal out in the boonies.
  • The Athletic Club is perfect for soaking in the hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms after a day on the slopes; it also has two racquetball courts, a swimming pool and spa services.
  • Snow mobiling along the Continental Divide, dog-sled mushing and scenic hot air balloon rides are available for the really adventurous.

OLN's Winter Gravity Games along with Copper’s Post Mountain signature party and a sizzling end-of-season bash add to the excitement in town.  The end of one season is the clarion for the next.  Copper spring wildflowers wave along miles of road biking and incredible sight seeing.  Special events, outdoor concerts, premier golfing at the highest elevation championship course in North America, paddle boating on West Lake and unsurpassed hiking opportunities bring out the participants at family reunions and weddings, the summer residents and tourists alike to enjoy the clear sunny days.

Area residents participate in town governance and Summit County schools.  Only 70 miles from the Denver International Airport and the metropolitan area, people are secure in the knowledge that they can be anywhere and have every “thing” that they may need from the vantage of this pristine alpine lookout.
