There's something glorious about Breckenridge real estate at northernmost Peak 7. Exhilarating, dramatic, extreme, ambitious, exquisite--pick your own adjectives for some of the best skiing and scenery in Summit County, Colorado. With complementary property to match the kudos about the outdoor experience, the people of the Colorado historic Town of Breckenridge and the Breckenridge Ski Resort have put their hearts together to create a wow experience with the best of nature and the best of community and services.
All for you! Peak 7 real estate is postured in the epicenter of it all. The new Independence SuperChair will sweep you right up the slope from your accommodations at a Peak 7 ski-in and ski-out area. Next time round, you may be riding the new gondola all the way to the Town of Breckenridge. Vail Resorts' new upscale fractional condos at Peak 7, new luxury residences at Peak 7 Village and the new Gold Point Lodging timeshares will add a classy element to the mountain. Ski-in and ski-out properties at Peak 7 midst the mist of the falling snow and under the vibrant sun will offer something for everyone in your family.
If this is the perfect mountain village, Peak 7 is the perfect mountain. The intermediate runs are beautifully groomed with breathtaking views. Monte Cristo, Angel's Nest and Wire Patch are the finest in this kingdom.
The back bowl on Peak 8 can be accessed via 6-chair or the T-Bar, and both of these offer access to the Imperial Express Lift and the northernmost Peak 7. If you choose to hike up, prepare for a very steep climb to 13,000 feet. Up in the thin air, drinking water is a must. At the top, it is usually very windy and cold. When the visibility is poor, the peak will be closed.
From the summit, you can choose Magic Carpet Ride, CJs, and the Y-Chutes, each as challenging as the next. An experienced guide or buddy who is familiar with the terrain will keep you on track in the forest--if you plan to experience the world-class glade skiing here.
The Imperial Lift opened in time for the 2005-2006 season. It is the highest lift in North America, reaching a peak elevation of 12,840 feet. Hiking from the top of the Imperial Lift allows access to some of the best terrain on the mountain, including some cornices with very nice, soft landings. Additionally, this lift has spread skiers out on the mountain, turning this peak into one of the most popular areas at the resort. Moving from peak to peak is now much easier for guests.
In the spring of 2006, a new 8-person gondola called "BreckConnect" was announced. It will replace buses on the run from the downtown Breckenridge transportation center and the two northern peaks. With a maximum capacity of 3,000 people, it will take only 7½ minutes to reach the base area of "8" and another 2½ reach "7" with a stop midway at Shock Hill.
After you descend, there's lots to enjoy. Try snowmobiling, ice skating, historic tours, dog-sledding, live theater, the night life, bars and restaurants and shopping. Enjoy the comraderie of friendly folks loving the fresh mountain air along the way.
Your wonder will continue through the spring as the birds, wildlife, Blue River fishing and wading, picnics, magical wildflowers and camping, hiking, biking and swimming fill your cup and put a relaxing glow in your heart.
