Lovingly known as "South Park". Yes, this is the namesake of the famous cartoon, but 200 square miles. Driving through the area you will see that there is much open space, no condos for the most part, and there is a lot of open space! And so close to Breckenridge real estate!
Park County is so special in that regard, there are acres and acres of National Forest and BLM land, the subdivisions are generally at least an acre, and more likely 2 acres or more. Park County is one of the largest counties in the State of Colorado, so we generally stay in the northern area, which starts at the top of Hoosier Pass, and includes the towns of Alma, Fairplay, and surrounding areas. The outlying areas are very popular, because they offer what many Colorado Buyers are looking for: seclusion, views, larger parcels of land, and affordability. The average price for a single family home in Park County is under $250,000!
