Breckenridge Property in Wooded Tordal Estates
By RealEstateColorado.com

If you can reel in an acre of property in Tordal Estates Breckenridge real estate, there will be plenty of time to catch yourself an extra large trout here in the Blue River.  Real estate only 7 miles south of Breckenridge doesn’t get much better.  Tordal Estates is still offering property for sale in Summit County nestled beneath the warm sunshine and majestic woods.  Yet, Tordal Estates properties have flat spots with fantastic views and are easily accessible to Highway 9 and myriad ski, hiking, biking, mountaineering, and resort activities.

Only a little over an hour from Denver real estate and the Denver International Airport, Tordal Estates is convenient to sporting events, cultural activities, metropolitan shopping, higher education, and high-tech and telecommuting employment options nearby.  Regardless, any Summit County real estate such a vacation home or second home in Tordal Estates or Breckenridge real estate, or Keystone, Frisco, Dillon, and Silverthorne will be a great investment for years to come.

The county seat of Breckenridge began during the gold rush in the mid 1800s.  A charming historic downtown with many restored buildings is the Victorian backdrop for this resort area that offers splendid restaurants, bistros, and nightclubs, over 200 shops, condos and vacation rentals to host over a million visitors every year.  It is fun to learn about the colorful history of the area by taking a walking tour of museums during the summertime.

The ski industry really took off after the Eisenhower Pass was completed.  It continues to add summer activities like the Peak 8 Fun Park, new lifts, concerts and festivals.  With mostly sunny days, fresh air, low humidity, deep azure skies, fascinating wildflowers and wildlife, and national forests in every direction, tribes of Ute Indians, miners, traders, and recreation enthusiasts have historically come here.  Many stay.  They simply fall in love with life in the Rocky Mountains, the friendliness of the small-town atmosphere and the cosmopolitan mix of visitors.

Considering the “wilderness” is what draws people, there are ample restrictions on development and preserving the forests.  The town has done an excellent job in conjunction with the ski resort of providing transportation both up and down the Peaks 7, 8 and 9 as well as around town and to other ski resorts; so a car becomes unnecessary in town.  As the ski towns are reaching build out and beginning redevelopment, this is a perfect time to find a piece of property in an outlying rural subdivision.

Families are happy with the county school district that: 1) offer students enrichment during school breaks, 2) encourage teachers to learn cutting-edge strategies, and 3) develop multi-teacher plans to help each student succeed.  A centrally located high school and middle school serve the older students, and elementary schools are distributed in the separate population areas (total students: 2,831).  Additionally, the College in the Colorado Rocky Mountains offers an invigorating blend of outdoor experiential education with a solid academic foundation for entrance into four-year colleges and universities.

Just think of sitting on the banks of the Blue River with your young son or daughter.  There’s nothing better than ultra-fresh trout for dinner!
