The highly trained guides combine their knowledge of safety, water skills, and fun with a professional demeanor that ensures a safe and enjoyable adventure all along the way.  In fact, guests really love their guides replete with inspiring stories, tour-guide inspiration, and adventurous caution.  Since water levels and weather are continually changing, each trip is its own adventure.  Each trip requires a bag of tricks and skills and draws on the decades of experience unique to River Runners.

The experts will craft a journey to meet the needs of guests and have developed classifications for their adrift adventures ™.  Below are sample of some of the thrilling adventures being offered at this time:

Beginner – Class I-II  “Family Float” is a scenic float through the Rockies, great for any age.

Intermediate – Class III-IV  “The Royal Gorge” is the best trip in the state, and actually one of the best in the world.  The fantastic scenery and awesome whitewater make a top vote for guests and guides alike.

“Bighorn Sheep Canyon” with its beautiful landscapes and fun waves and rapids is an ideal intermediate rafting trip.  It is thoroughly enjoyed by first time rafters and seasoned veterans every drop of the way.

“Browns Canyon Adventure” is America’s favorite whitewater rafting trip.  Beginning with a walk from the car to the river, the trip explores a remote section of the Arkansas River.  Passing through pristine wilderness with exciting and continuous whitewater, first-timers and experienced rafters relish the 16-mile stretch.  Dozens of class II-IV and II-III rapids add excitement to the beautiful granite canyon.  To keep everyone fueled for the long run, the guides prepare a riverside lunch in the middle of the trip.

Advanced – Class III-V  Then, there is “Run The Numbers” This “run” requires previous experience and being in shape.  It starts well over 8,000 feet with a steep, technical, narrow, and rocky section that cascades into one of the most beautiful alpine canyons in the state.

Expert – Class III-V   From high alpine to steep, and technical terrain, the “Pine Creek” is the ultimate whitewater run o the Arkansas River.  Rafters need to have previous class IV experience and good physical condition to make the cut for this adventure.

After mastering all of these adventures year after year from your beachhead at the resort, try the “5-Day Rafting Vacation” in the Dinosaur National Monument in Utah run by the same company.  This trip thoroughly explores the wild and scenic Yampa River Canyon.  You’re certain to sink into your bed back home when you return.
