Warrior’s Mark and Warrior’s Mark West in Breckenridge
By RealEstateColorado.com

Driving through Breckenridge real estate going south on Colorado 9, which is South Main Street, pass along the Blue River into a popular established neighborhood in the pines called Warrior’s Mark.  The rural yet prime location—within walking distance to downtown Breckenridge real estate as well as the ski lifts—have given Warrior’s Mark and its brother Warrior’s Mark West a fantastic reputation for vacation Breckenridge homes.

Residents of Breckenridge homes in Warrior’s Mark enjoy spacious wooded lots, wild flowers, beaver ponds and streams along Burro Trail.  Along with plenty of downhill skiing, riding, ice skating, and cross-country skiing, they fish the Blue River a few steps away, hike, take walks, play golf, swim, play racquetball, exercise at the fitness center, gain skills at the Gold Hill Nordic Center, get together at the community center.

An eclectic neighborhood where an assortment of ski-in/ski-out condos, efficiency condos, duplex homes, luxurious chalets, and cabins on a grand scale all blend to offer residents and visitors supreme mountain views overlooking the quaint Victorian Town of Breckenridge, Warrior’s Mark is convenient.   Residents easily walk into Town or hop onto the Summit County free shuttle to ski Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain.

Though Warrior’s Mark is not a commercial zone, one establishment that dates back a hundred years still stands and now serves up the best slow-roasted prime ribs, mouth-watering steaks, wild game, fresh seafood, poultry, pasta and vegetarian entrees.  The Brian Rose, named after the old Briar Rose Silver Mine, used to be a grub hall for miners and sometimes today the personality of the historic place harkens back to yesteryear.

Most of the homes in Warrior’s Mark have been designed to have the inside reach outside onto lovely patios and decks and the outside comes in through walls of windows and rustic or earthy tones and features.  They are all special retreats in the Colorado Rockies.

Warrior’s Mark is a wonderful neighborhood for large gatherings, corporate retreats, family reunions, golf or fishing expeditions, and year-round life in the mountains.   Located next to Peak National Forest, Peak 9 and Peak 10, just north of Quandary Peak and Mount Lincoln, it is also home to fox, deer, and occasional other wildlife roaming in the woods.

If residents choose to stay all year, the children and youth attend the creative Summit County schools.  Colorado Mountain College has a local campus and offers lifetime learning for everyone.  The county has an active bunch of volunteers and seniors who do not know how to retire.  On the contrary, the community is untiring in its efforts to improve the Town, amenities, and services.  Living in a small community with so many places to mingle and with so much to be grateful for, people seem to just plain old help one another out.  There’s something about living in a postcard-perfect setting that does hit the “mark” for living life in a beautiful way.
