March Snowshoeing Breckenridge CO Real Estate

Experience the Rocky Mountain majesty of Breckenridge real estate under the sun or moon during the month of March. From your vacation home in Breckenridge, Colorado do the short hike to the Ice Rink on March 6 for starters. Every Thursday morning at 10 a.m. the Gold Run Nordic Center and Breckenridge Nordic Center will be ready with your snowshoes. Two-hour guided educational excursions through real estate in Breckenridge ’s gorgeous vistas are in store. First week will be Illinois Creek, then X10U8 Trail, and Cucumber Gulch—a stupendous introduction to your new Summit County real estate.

Follow this “warm up” with a moonlight trek the next evening exploring the White Water National Forest and Arapahoe National Forest at night. Pop the tiniest of your family into a back pack and away you to for an unforgettable experience under the stars. Shhhhhh. Though the trails may be easy, the nocturnal animals have got your number. Can you see them? Listen, too. Short stops and activities are fun for every age group who venture out into the chilly evening secrets around Breckenridge homes.

Then, gather the kids ages 8 through 13 up and drop them at the Breckenridge Recreation Center on Saturday mornings for a wonderful series of snowshoe lessons. (You can come along if you’d rather!) Adventurous kid-friendly snowshoe hikes, complete with activities and games along the way, are sure to teach your children the basics of the sport. Trekkers will learn how to prepare for a hike and skills that incorporate safety and awareness along with trail etiquette.

During the month, the treks will become more difficult as the “students” embody a sense of accomplishment. If they attend the entire progression, they will have a thing or two to show their parents during the next family excursion into the pristine environs of our beautiful mountain village.

The community also offers a series called the Nature Series and Adventure Programming, a series of clinics on skiing, climbing, kayaking, and other outdoor sports. During the clinics, participants will hear epics tales of adventures from outdoor enthusiasts from the area. Once the kids get interested in those twinkling stars (beyond Hollywood) try out the Far Out Friday Night Star Gaze to learn the mystery of Saturn’s magical #D ring system or the birth of stars in the Orion Nebula. Of course, the options continue. The Colorado Families Series entices the youth and children with family get-togethers such as Winter Ecology and Rock Climbing. The fun is just beginning.
