Copper Country Labor Day Festival near Breckenridge CO Homes

Celebrating the Spirit of America, the 2008 musical line up begins at 6:00 p.m. Friday with Street Party at West Lake and Savannah Jack.  On Saturday, Rail Benders, Mark Selby, Tony Joe White, and John Fogerty will come together to form an incredible musical lineup.  Savannah Jack, Firefall, Pure Prairie League, Poco, Desert Rose Band, and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will be echoing off of the mountainsides on Sunday.

Free events include the Fine Art Pavilion, Vendor Village, the nationally ranked rodeo competitors at the rodeo, Boot Scoot Street Parties, and Copper Country Movies.  The Copper Corral Kids Rodeo Activities in Beeler Lot will include a huge Petting Zoo, Mutton Bustin’, Chicken Scramble, Roping Act, Clown Act, Face Painting, Pony Rides, and a Rodeo Western Booth.  Street Parties are scheduled for Friday 8:00 – 10:00 p.m., Saturday 6:15 – 8:00 p.m., and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.

Additionally, in Beeler Lot from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday will be the Copper Country Rodeo Championships sponsored by Wrangler.  That includes free Bareback Competition, Clown Act, Saddle Bronc Competition, Roping Act, and a Bull Riding Competition with an Award Ceremony on Sunday.

Also on Friday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., the Copper Homeowner Exclusive Artist Preview and Reception will be held in the 18,000-square-foot Pavilion located adjacent to the concert arena at the base of Copper Mountain.  The Indoor Exhibitions extend throughout the weekend.  Over 40 Outdoor Exhibitors of both traditional and contemporary Country and Western art will be placed throughout The Village at Copper along the pedestrian-friendly cobblestone streets.
