Copper Mountain Resort offers a change of pace for residents of Summit County real estate in Breckenridge and Keystone resorts, Silverthorne CO homes and the towns of Frisco and Dillon. A little less busy than Breckenridge, Copper Mountain is one valley west of Breckenridge Colorado real estate, about 75 miles west of Denver. The best of summer and winter activities and festivals area are available for owners of Breckenridge CO homes, including events at Copper Mountain.

Dining and entertainment are spread over Copper Mountain’s three villages: The village at Copper, East Village, and Union Creek. They all light up during the High Alpine Holidays with the long-standing tradition of a spectacular torchlight parade that weaves its way down the mountain to a grand-finale fireworks display. The Village at Copper sparkles with holiday cheer for the annual event, punctuated with repeat performances by En Fuego on December 20 and January 10.

This year for New Years Eve, Colorado’s premier Disco Mountain band will perform in the Village. There will be a Disco Dance Contest, Street Performers, Bonfires, a Big Air performance by the Copper Free Ride Team, fireworks and more. Then January 2-4, 2009, the largest consumer demo in the snowboard world will feature free demos of Burton boards, boots, and bindings. All will be in readiness for the U.S. Snowboarding Revolution Tour competition as described at copperseries.com. Families can also take advantage of Kids Night Out, Kids Eat Free, Arcades, Lessons, and Ski Groups.

Copper offers a variety of divided terrain for all levels of skiers and riders. Beginner slopes are on the western side, intermediate in the center, and expert terrain on the eastern side. Advanced double black-diamond slopes are located at Copper Bowl, Union bowl, Spaulding Bowl, and Resolution Bowl at 12,000-plus elevation on Copper Peak and Union Peak. These expert bowls are comparable in difficulty to Breck’s Imperial Bowl.

When measured by area, Copper Mountain Ski Resort is the largest resort in Summit County. Operated by Intrawest, it extends from a base elevation of 9,712 feet to its summit at 12,313. There are 2,433 skiable acres including 125 runs accessible through 5 high-speed chairs, 10 chairs, 6 surface lifts, and 1 tubing lift. Expect fewer lines and shorter wait times everywhere but on the centrally located lifts that service blue and green runs, the Superpipe, and Catalyst, the premier terrain park.

Call Rick Allemang with RE/MAX Properties of the Summit at 970-547-1002 for information about ski properties or real estate in the woods to meet your family’s needs and goals.

Actively retire to small-town America only 30 minutes from skiing and real estate in Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain ski resorts. We’ve got a 36-acre Featured Listing for Fairplay CO real estate in Park County. This Colorado ranch features an amazing park-like setting including a sanctuary in the aspen groves, fenced grassland for grazing horses, and outstanding views of the mountains.

Breckenridge real estate is wonderful for those who like being right inside a bustling year-round resort. But this Fairplay CO property is more of a retreat. It offers marvelous build sites for that dream home or luxury log home or hunting cabin in the woods. And the price is right at $279,900 for such a large parcel.

Set at an altitude of 9,953 feet, it is the largest community on the eastern hillside of the Middle Fork of the South Platte River in the grassland basin known as South Park. Some of the best fly fishing found anywhere is right here in addition to wonderful trails for hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and jeeping. Plus, it is also a destination for rafting and hunting.

Park County extends to the Pikes Peak National Forest and is home to 17,000 residents. Easily accessible to Denver via Highway 285 and to Colorado Springs on scenic Highway 24, Fairplay is the county seat. The center of the town is a retail business district and the historic town which was founded in 1859. A wide range of real estate surrounds the community from old and new neighborhoods to deluxe ranches to secluded multi-million-dollar log homes.

The community sponsors several big events including the Festival of Burro Days celebrating the town’s mining heritage with a 29-mile burro race to the 13,000-foot summit of Mosquito Pass. Then, the Park County Fair, with its rodeos, livestock shows, and greased-pig catch, brings loads of down-home fun for the entire family. The Spring Classic gives the 4-H youth the opportunity to build and practice skills in grooming, showing, and knowledge. Children grow up showing hogs, steer, lambs, and horses and could always use mentors in those activities.

Everyone loves the setting and the location of this parcel just outside of town on Highway 9. The property features camping spots with views of the skies through the tingling aspen leaves. It has a private gated entry and power on the back property line. It’s serene and pure, ready for your footprint and hooves.

As the magnificence of Park County is being discovered by the day, now is a great time to buy. Qualifying seniors can take advantage of the senior property tax exemption. Fifty percent of the first $200,000 of property value is exempt.

Call Rick Allemang at 970-547-1002 for information about Park and Summit County real estate to meet your family’s needs.

Trendsetting Breckenridge Ski Resort continually finds itself on SKI Magazine’s Top 10 lists. That is a big reason for second home buyers to look seriously at Breckenridge real estate and the quaint real Town of Breckenridge. Breckenridge CO homes are perfect for convenient family vacations in Summit County Colorado, only 90 minutes from the Denver and the International Airport. Vacation real estate in Breckenridge puts your family smack in the middle of a fun resort and pedestrian town that is “not too local, not too touristy,” according to one SKI Magazine responder.

Breckenridge Ski Resort as featured as the No. 9 overall ski resort in the west for 2008 according to SKI Magazine’s readers’ survey. Within the entire North American continent, Breckenridge scored No. 4 for Terrain Parks, No. 7 for Après-Ski, and No. 8 for Off-Hill Activities.

This year SKI also addressed the common concerns about the popularity of Breckenridge, beginning with crowds: “Breckenridge—which has been pulling in record skier visits just about every year since the dawn of the quad chair—is popular for a reason.” The Breckenridge skiing and boarding adventures combine beautifully with its non-skiing adventure.

Let’s begin with the slopes. The Resort is expanding its terrain and amenities to accommodate all types of skiing abilities. But it behooves skiers to know the routes for the lifts. Those who prefer wide open uninhabited areas need only head out to Peak 10 and “rip the expert bumps on Trinity and Quiver.” The T-bar takes skiers to the Horseshoe Bowl.

Take the Peak 8 SuperConnect to Chair 6 for blacks and steeps or to access the groomers and blues on Peak 7. And Peak 7 itself is getting better every year. Soon, a new Peak 7 base village will improve mountain access, add slope-side luxury lodging, and open up sit-down dining. From Crystal Peak Lodge to various skier services, a ski school, ticket sales, a ski shop, and Sevens, the base village at Peak 7 will offer all of the comforts necessary to enjoy the day.

The cold can be beat by choosing warmer activities at times. Hop on the BreckConnect Gondola to Main Street for après ski or unique culinary pleasures, spas and fireside experiences. Stroll through downtown shops or plan to burst out on a dogsled tour tomorrow.

And, if bottlenecks on the Interstate are a concern, travel during the weekdays.

Call Rick Allemang at 970-547-1002 for information about ski properties or real estate in the woods to meet your family’s needs.

Breckenridge Colorado homes are perfect for young winter athletes such as Colby West as well as buyers with children and grandchildren. Living close to the world-class terrain parks, residents of Breckenridge CO real estate will be on hand to compete and cheer on the world’s top snowboard and freeski athletes during the first stop for the Winter Dew Tour that’s firing up on December 18, 2008 at Breckenridge Ski Resort.

West, who lives in real estate in beautiful Breckenridge, along with the best athletes of the modern free ski and snowboard movement will compete in the games. The Breckenridge Ski Resort and Town of Breckenridge feel privileged to host the amazing talent. Coverage will be aired by NBC, MTV, MTV2, and USA, ensuring action-packed content for the crowds and fans tuning in to the broadcast.

It will most likely be a fight to the finish as they compete for the Dew Cup and $1.5 million prize purse that will be awarded at the end of a three-stop series. Other events will be in January and February in West Dover, Vermont and Lake Tahoe, California.

The incredibly successful AST Dew Tour debuted in 2005 and has been so successful that this inaugural event will kick off Winter AST Dew Tours. The Summer Dew Tour uses a point system based on cumulative points and the Winter Dew Tour will follow a similar plan. Participants appreciate that the event is not just a one-day, one-run moment. It offers the chance find out who is the strongest over the course of an entire season of competition.

The excitement mounts as the snow industry comes together for events like this. It is one of the only contests to offer ski and snowboard Slopestyle and Superpipe for both men and women. Women’s snowboarding has progressed tremendously over the last few years as top female riders push the sport forward. The professional action-sports athletes will compete in skateboarding (vert and park), BMX (vert, Park, and dirt), freestyle motocross, and each Tour stop will also feature a specialty comp. Style and technicality are two reigning characteristics of this year’s freeskier bill.

Even as they compete tooth and nail, snowboarders snowboard with friends. They are quick to encourage one another, congratulate one another, and inspire one another to new tricks. Friendship is strong and so are these athletes.

Come on out and join the fun. Key lifestyle elements include Festival Village with video gaming and interactive events and live cutting-edge music. The Dew Tour partners include Mountain Dew, Toyota, Ball Park, Nike 6.0, PlayStation, Wendy’s and Verizon Wireless.

Call Rick Allemang at 970-547-1002 for information about ski properties to meet your family’s needs.

It’s time to get into your own ski-in/ski-out Breckenridge real estate. World-class Breckenridge Ski Resort opens up November 7, 2008. Come a day early to celebrate and to see what vacation homes in Breckenridge Colorado have opened up for you and your family to view! Ride the BerckConnect Gondola directly from the skier parking lots in town to Breckenridge CO real estate at Shock Hill.

Located in Summit County Colorado, convenient to Keystone CO real estate and Park County CO ranches, Breckenridge CO second homes are solid investments in a popular area about 90 minutes from Denver.

Opening day ushers in the 2008-2009 season a bit early this year with all new terrain, lifts, and services. Although construction on Peak 8 is still in progress, Vail Resorts will host the grand opening festivities at One Ski Hill Place, new luxury Breckenridge real estate on Peak 8. Thanks to some cooler weather, snow-making machines began dressing up the mountain mid October.

The Resort and the Town of Breckenridge will be percolating with the annual Wake Up Breckenridge on Thursday morning when the Town’s leadership will distribute 1,500 free mugs and coffee at Starbucks, Clint’s Bakery & Coffee House, Cool River Coffee House, Helen’s Coffee Cart at City Market, Amazing Grace, Coffee Depot at Main Street Station, and Daylight Donuts.

By Thanksgiving, Peak 9 will be fully open along with all skier services at the village and Beaver Run base areas. By opening Peak 8 early, the Resort is able to offer new experiences on opening day including more open ski runs and lifts. Skiers and riders will have many more choices in terrain. Additionally, the mountain operations team is better able to prepare the mountain for the largest event ever: the AST Winter Dew Tour December 18-21. The Winter Dew Tour will feature freeskiing and snowboarding disciplines for both men and women. Major television networks will be broadcasting the events.

Highly favored among out-of-state and international travelers, the Resort has been the most popular ski resort in North America for the last few years. From a base elevation at 9,600 feet to the summit at 12,998, there are 2,358 acres of skiable terrain including 155 runs. Over a third of the terrain is labeled “expert” but beginner and intermediate skiers find plenty of exciting runs to practice on.

Peak 8 is normally accessed from the Colorado SuperChair, Rocky Mountain SuperChair, as well as the Peak 8 SuperConnect. The lower terrain is intermediate and advanced. The back bowl can be accessed via 6 Chair or the T-Bar and the westernmost bowls with some very difficult terrain. Advanced skiers and riders hike from the top of the Imperial lift to Peak 8 to be challenged by cornices with soft landings. The Lake Chutes are a series of small chutes with inclines up to 50 degrees and can be reachable from the top of Peak 8.

For information about ski-in/ski-out and other real estate in the resort and surrounding mountain communities, contact Rick Allemang at 970-547-1002.

Broker Associate Rick Allemang is back with RE/MAX Properties of the Summit at 220 S. Main Street in Breckenridge, Colorado. Rick has been selling real estate in the Breckenridge area since 1991, and spent some time with RE/MAX. For the last several years, as Employing Broker of his own Breckenridge real estate company, Rick completed hundreds of transactions, sold millions of dollars of property, and gained the expertise to make all of his clients comfortable.

Rick looks forward to helping clients buy Breckenridge Colorado homes and/or sell their properties in Summit County or Park County real estate. Described as a tough but kind negotiator, Rick does whatever it takes to get the deal done.Â

RE/MAX Properties of the Summit has been serving the real estate needs for buyers and sellers in Summit County for over two decades. For most of that time, the company has been the leading real estate firm in Summit County with offices in Breckenridge, Frisco, Keystone, and Silverthorne that are staffed 7 days a week. Our company utilizes a unique combination of management, customized systems, continual improvements, and a team of outstanding associates to achieve success.

Voted Best Real Estate Company in Summit County by clients, friends, and neighbors during the Annual Best of the Summit poll conducted by the Summit Daily News, RE/MAX Properties of the Summit offers the largest market share for both buyers and sellers and continues to increase its prominence year by year.

Attributing his personal success to the good habits acquired as a young paperboy, Rick fondly recalls learning the basics at the age of 10. “I learned that to succeed you need to work hard and you must give your customers the best services possible…The same attributes that make a good paperboy are basically what make a good Realtor: honesty, integrity, self-discipline, and mutual respect.”

When away from the office, Rick enjoys riding his motorcycle, hunting, skiing, and four-wheeling in his Hummer. Born in Oklahoma City, young Rick dreamed of living in the mountains of Colorado. “The place that we live in is so special. I am a truly lucky man to be able to live and work here! I hope that I can help other people to achieve their dreams as I have.”

Rick Allemang of RE/MAX Properties of the Summit offers clients personalized service based on his extensive background in the Summit and Park county real estate markets. Call Rick at 970-547-1002 for information about how to realize your dreams today.
